What happened to February?

What in the world happened to February?  It's okay, I don't really want it back!  Every day we inch closer to March 21st is a day closer to absolute joy for me.  See, incase you haven't read all my entries...I LOVE SPRING!  Spring makes me SOOOO happy.  The flowers blooming, the birds chirping, the grass getting greener, the sun hanging around for much longer.  *SIGH*  What's not to love?  (Except the mandatory Zyrtec and Kleenex.)

Last year I had a very inconsiderate neighbor spray an inhumane amount of pesticide in his yard (adjacent to mine) and he stunted my peonies and my lilacs from blooming.  Mind you, I have been waiting for these beauties to bloom for over 3 years (I planted them as babies).  So, my great hope this year is that they will all finally bloom and I will see even more gorgeous flowers in my yard.

Anyway, enough about Spring.  March Madness has hit me.  I have decided to design and list a new card every day of this month in my etsy shop and share it on my Facebook page.  This is a huge undertaking for me because I can't ever count on how I'm going to feel on any given day.  But it definitely gives me something to look forward to and I'm excited about it.  If you haven't become a fan of my Facebook page, please do so and take part in the Madness with your comments.

I also received my Japanese quilling tool today and I am stoked to start using it.  It is really tiny but I'm told it helps dissipate the dreaded creased centers that most quillers hate.  I'm hoping to use it to make a few of the March Madness cards.

That's all for now and I'll leave you with a pic of the card I designed for today.  In spite of my absolute elation over Spring's arrival I actually made a black and white card!  (I know, unheard of!)  For me this is a big deal because I always have to add some color to my projects but black and white is very chic and classy.  This one has a bit of French inspiration.  Reminds me of a friend I have that lives in Switzerland and thinks that she's being "colorful" when she picks up a baby pink or baby blue item.  HA!  Her eyes popped out the first time she came into my kitchen!

Here's my Shabby-esque Toile and Simplicity Card:

I hope to be posting more often!
Make it a SWEET week and a MAD MARCH! ;)
