Feet are gross

I've always had an aversion to feet, since I was small.  And it hasn't dissipated, just ask my hubby.  Why the weird, random title?  Well, because I feel a bit like I have put my foot in my mouth.  And I hate the way it tastes.  Let me elaborate.

Yesterday I discovered a store out of India selling at least 5 of my card designs and quite a few designs from other quillers.  I had literally just decided to re-open my shop the day before, on Saturday afternoon.  I was sent into a frenzy of anger over it.  And, very much unlike myself, I posted it all over FB.  (That's the foot in my mouth part.)  Perhaps that is the way most people deal with things but I allowed myself to get way too upset over it and I am sad that I did.  I strive to be a better person modeled after Jesus who was meek and mild tempered (1 Tim. 6:11).  I am ashamed that I allowed myself to be blinded by anger and hurt and this is my apology to all who may have witnessed that.

The topic of copying is a dead, beaten horse at this point.  My designs are not amazing works of art but they are very personal to me and they mean a lot because I have used them to help in healing my broken body and they represent moments and experiences I have shared with my loved ones.  At the end of the day there is nothing I can do except hire a lawyer in India and spend thousands of dollars to wage a war against 1 of the many people who do not respect the intellectual and artistic property of others.  That may very well be something that others feel is worth doing but I can't add poison to my already delicate state of health.  Stress is my number one enemy and I like to associate my creative process with relaxation and fun and joy.

Anyway, I am sorry to all of you who saw my angered post on Facebook calling out for a revolution against this person.  I will try hard never to let it happen again.  I have deleted the posts and have decided to move forward.

In other news, I had a great time up in Massachusetts with my family.  I wish I owned a cute little cottage up in the cape where I could escape to and warm up by the fire on cold winter nights.  Here are a few pics of our little getaway:

I'm happy to be back and I'm trying hard to find my footing while not putting my foot back in my mouth. ;)

Have a SWEET September week!

    1. You know what I think, Syaz? Apparently people use those forums to see what everyone else is doing and then copy it and act like it was their idea. The funny thing is that I don't share my cards in those forums and I only do it here and on my facebook page, which is obviously me advertising my cards, not giving permission for them to be re-created. I guess some people just have no principles. I feel bad for them, they have no creativity either.

But you keep up the fantastic work you do and don't let anyone take your joy away. Have a great day! ♥
