I miss my sister!

I spent a good part of the morning talking to my sister on the phone.  It always amazes me how I can see her gestures clearly, even through the phone.  I guess that's what happens when you spend so much time with someone growing up.  She was my roommate  for years before she had my niece.  She and I fought like only sisters could.  We were more like the odd couple (I'm definitely Felix) but we managed (and still manage) to be best friends.  She was my maid of honor and I was hers.

She's lived out of state for over 7 years now but I'm still not used to it.  And, no matter what the distance, I know she is always there for me and (I hope) she knows that I'm always here for her.  She and my husband are the only two people in the world that I've ever felt I can tell ANYTHING to.

So, inspired by my missing her and by the gorgeous Spring weather we've been having, (oh, and by a client asking me why I didn't have sister cards) I made a card for sisters:

I love you and I miss you, Mary!

Some cute sister quotes I found:

"Big sisters are the crab grass in the lawn of life."  ~Charles M. Schulz

"If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child."  ~Linda Sunshine

"You can kid the world.  But not your sister."  ~Charlotte Gray

Sorry about the long blogging break.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and take advantage of the glorious weather.  And, don't forget to call your sister! ;)

Keep it SWEET and cute!

Update:  I wanted to share the feedback I received from the purchaser of this card:  "I feel great!  My day was full of rain but you brought sunshine to it with your hand-made card. I don't think people realize how intricate your work is. I'm only speaking about the flower card, but if people would take a look at all the other cards you offer they would see what I see (and know). What person would go to Hallmark or Walmart to get a card when cards like this exist. I personally would like to get a card that is pretty close to being one of a kind because it is so hand made, one at a time, not mass produced. As this website states, if you need the card sooner, let them know! I did this and they were so accommodating (and kind), no attitude or resentment to my wishes. I will always remember this site and the very best people you can run across!!"
