Hoboken, I owe you an apology.

I have to admit (but only for today) that I am a New York snob.  (Hanging my head in shame.)  There are lots of other cities I have visited that I think are cute. (Boston happens to be a fave.) But when you grow up in such a huge place surrounded by so much variety you're kind of jaded.  It's  a sad reality but most places underwhelm me.

Remember how I told you that I was trying to get my cards into brick and mortar stores?  Well, yesterday I went to Hoboken because I got my first wholesale order and went to go meet the shop owner and deliver the cards.  I SOOOO hit the jackpot with this lady.  She is so awesome and helpful and encouraging.  I will be offering quilling classes there soon and I'm really excited because in less than a month I can check off one of my goals.  That's cool, right? ( I think so.)

I was really trepidatious because I had no idea what the store or area would look like, and aesthetics really matter to me.  Well, Hoboken really gave off a stellar first impression.  So many pretty buildings and shops and, just a totally fun place to spend an afternoon.  Especially a sunny 64 degree afternoon.  (Thank you mother nature and global warming - LOL!)

This is the building right in front of the store.  So cute!

I had a nice long conversation with the shop owner, Erica.  She recommended a cute burger place I had never been to.  I had lunch there with my niece and we walked around.

Place is called "Lucky's Burger" and it reminds me of Five Guys.
Pretty yummy if I do say so myself.  Turns out there are two here in the city!

We went to Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss) because you have to, right?  Well, sorry Carlo but I was very unimpressed.  We got a small assortment of goodies but none of them was that good.  (Not worth the calories for sure - just my opinion.)

Then we walked some more and came across this park.  LOL!  It was so funny because it literally took my breath away.  See if you recognize the view:

So, I am sorry, Hoboken for being a snob.  And I have a newfound respect and admiration for you.  I won't even mind crossing that claustrophobic tunnel every few months just to visit you.   But, New York is still my main squeeze and no matter how cute you are, I'm not leaving!
