A SWEET September to you all!

My kiddies will be returning home this evening and I'm really excited to see them.  See, that's the thing with kids.  They drive you nuts but then you can't live without them.

I enjoyed my weekend with hubby.  We went out and discovered.  Yesterday we happened upon a park we had no idea existed. Probably because we are always in Brooklyn or Manhattan and forget about our own boro.  We were in Long Island City to get some coffee at Sweetleaf.  They have one called Rocket Fuel that lives up to it's name.  I am steadily becoming an addict.  They also happen to make some of the best carrot cake I have ever had.  (I hope I forget that part.)  Anyway, we decided to walk around and saw the waterfront from where we were.  We discovered that there is a super cute little waterfront park a la Brooklyn Bridge Park (but MUCH tinier and less manicured).  It looks like they are constructing further and I can see this becoming a place where I go to with my cup o cawfee and chillax and watch the East River Ferry come and go.

I have lots more to list in my shop.  And I will do so as soon as I can.  Since my munchkins are coming back I need to go tackle the dungeon (their bedroom) as I have quite successfully been avoiding it.  I also want to finally make the matching curtains to my yellow living room curtains.  Hmm, we'll see what I can actually get done.
