Busy week ahead

The most difficult part about trying to manage a small home business is figuring out how not to neglect your household duties and your kids.  I guess my problem is that I always compare myself to other people who seem to be able to pop out merchandise at a speedy rate while it takes me hours to complete one small set of cards.  Perhaps being so meticulous is not necessarily productive???  Is it?  I'm still trying to figure it all out.  Then again, sometimes I wonder what their houses really look like.

The kids start school in 2 weeks and I am happy because it will allow me more uninterrupted time to create and be done by the time they get home so I can focus on them and be the mommy they need.  No matter what my kids and hubby will always come first.

That being said, this week I have my hands full.  I have a some wedding invitations to create (70, to be exact) and they are very detailed and it's all hands on work.  I have kid appointments and I have to somehow find time to create a slideshow for my brother-in-law with what seems like hundreds of pics.  Add laundry, cleaning and cooking (and mommy-ing) and I still don't know how I'll get through it.  This is where my motto comes in "one day at a time".  That's all I can do.  Get through today and tackle tomorrow when it gets here.

Here are some more owls I added to etsy:
