Oh, Monday!

What a day!  It's been one of those days that (one day) I will laugh about.  Today I'm still kinda too ticked to chuckle.  Everything that could possible go wrong has gone wrong.  Except ONE.  Wanna see it?

Here it is:

I got nice, new, super bright paper.  And a new unfinished shadowbox frame so I can create another pretty quilled lady.  This time I have a Spring one in mind.  In my brain she is so gorgeous.  Let's see how she develops.  You can find these boxes online at  The Quilling Superstore.  I ordered on Saturday afternoon and already got them!

This weekend we had some lovely older ladies over and I decided to make them cupcakes.  It was a box (I know, I know.)  But it was a delicious vanilla bean cake mix from Trader Joe's and I made lemon cream cheese frosting to top them off.  Let me just say there is only 1 left... out of 32!

I don't usually like to share my secrets but this one is too good to keep to myself:

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8 oz.) brick of Philly Cream Cheese (softened)
4 tbsp. salted butter (softened)
1 teaspoon GOOD vanilla
2 cups of powdered sugar (you can use up to 4 cups depending on how sweet and "crunchy" you like your frosting)
zest and juice of 1 lemon

SOOO yummy!

I also wanted to share an interview that went online last week at Discover Paper.  Hope you can all read along and share your comments.

Have a lemony cream cheesy SWEET filled week.  And don't let anybody tick you off! ;)
